Mary Serhan (nee Eisler) was born on June 19, 1942 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan to parents Morris and Mary Eisler. Mary was raised on the family farm north of Mistatim, Saskatchewan. She started her education in Pine Creek where she completed her grade 8, she then attended school in Mistatim for her grade 9 and completed her grades 10 and 11 in Prairie River, and received her grade 12 in Tisdale.
On April 12, 1961, Mary was united in marriage to Ted Serhan. To this union three children were born: Terry, Roxane and Rodney. Together with raising their children, Mary and Ted farmed north of Porcupine Plain. Mary loved to cook and found great pleasure in making perogies, cabbage rolls, gardening, and canning. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, babysitting and feeding anyone who walked through the door!
Mary was predeceased by her parents Morris and Mary Eisler, parents-in-law John and Lena Serhan, sister-in-law Joyce Serhan, and her daughter Roxane Fredsberg.
She is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Ted, children: son Terry (Rhonda) and their family: Kaitlyn, Michaela and Bailey Serhan; son-in-law Vern Fredsberg and his family: Trevor (Adelida) and Brady Fredsberg; son Rodney (Tara) and their family: Courtney and Corey Serhan; brothers Joe Eisler and John (Erma) Eisler; brothers-in-law Joe (Mary) Serhan, Bill Serhan, Ernest (Ann) Serhan and Ron (Diane) Serhan; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
