Obituary for Martina Marie Levick

Martina Marie Levick was born on November 30, 1995 in the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to parents Gwen & Dwight Levick. Martina was raised on the family farm in the High Tor District south of Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan. She received all of her education in Porcupine Plain, graduating from High School in 2013.
After completion of High School, Martina began the move west eventually settling in the Village of Dewberry, Alberta. This community was her home away from home, and it was there she quickly found her adoptive families. The life and family values as well as work ethic instilled in her growing up led to Martina being hired by the
Village of Dewberry as the Public Works Foreman / Water Operator, a position she was extremely proud of. Martina’s passion to always lend a helping hand and tackle any project was more than evident within her community, she was always willing to help out with any events.
Martina loved the outdoors and found great joy hunting and fishing. She also loved being “Girlie”, drinking Caesars, and having fun baking and enjoyed the Weekly craft club.
Martina was predeceased by her Grandma Jean Norum and Uncle Brian Norum. She is lovingly remembered by her Parents Gwen & Dwight Levick; Sister Rebecca (partner Dylan); Brother Trevor (partner Chayanne); Grandparents: Ken & Judy Levick and Melvin & Dianna Norum; Dear Friend Gabe Surina; Aunts & Uncles:
Connie & Les Shearer, Wendy & Richard Kistner, Debbie & Willie Dufault, and Clara & Greg Tessmer; as well as numerous loved cousins and extended family, and all of her family in Dewberry.

To make a little girl
Stardust was sprinkled;
It settled in a twinkle in her eye.
The music of the wanes became her laughter.
Her lips were curved to hold the question: Why?
Sinew was used to knit her frame together
So her strength could give
and take the stresses of life.
The storms of time would bend
But never break her-
She'd grow up strong and unafraid to live.
She was given a smile like a sunrise
To welcome each day with eager joy.
This child was made strong and beautiful
So all could see that she was indeed
A special gift...
And her name is Martina!
