Peter Haas was born on October 27th, 1930 in Melville, Saskatchewan to parents John and Margaret Haas.
Peter moved with his family to the homestead North East of Kelvington, when he was 1 ½ years old. Peter received his education at the Vernon Hill School.
Peter married Joyce Wheatley on August 9th , 1958. The couple was blessed with three children: Laureen, Michael, and Leanne.
Peter and his brother George operated Haas Brothers Construction from 1954 to 1971 when they incorporated to form Haas Construction Ltd. In 1980, Peter became the sole owner of the company and operated it until his retirement in 2002.
Peter was a member of the Road Builders Association. In his spare time, Peter loved curling, travelling, and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino.
Peter was predeceased by his Parents John and Margaret Haas; Siblings: Frank Haas, Rudolph Haas, Henry Haas, George Haas, Katherine (Berger) Evanson, Aplene (Werner) Nelson, Margaret Bolianatz, Sophie Nelson, and Betty (Rene) Cantin; Infant Son Bruce Haas. Left to cherish his memory is Peter’s Wife Joyce Haas; Children and Grandchildren: Laureen (Malcolm) Bennett, and their children Matthew (Chelsey), David, Steven and Katherine, Michael (Hellain) Haas, and their children Leah and Elisha, Leanne Haas; Sisters-In-Law: Yvonne Haas, and Lubie Haas; Brother-In-Law Albert Nelson; along with numerous Nephews, and Nieces.
