Condolences

Condolence From: Russ & Gerry Procychyn
Condolence: Several years ago a lady got in touch with me after seeing something which I had submitted to the Senior Paper. I’m sorry I’ve forgotten her name, but she said that she was Marg’s Grade One Teachet at Golden Glow School. She said that she recalled having had this obstinate, big/little girl in her class, with a mop of unruly black hair and no one or nothing was going to get in her way! I believe Marg proved this when she commuted to Porcupine over 7 miles on foot in the summer and with horses in the winter to complete her High School. Marg used to take our team of buckskins and drive to town, then turn them around and tie the reins up and send the team home. During the week, Marg would stay with Larwood’s. Understandable her teacher was quite old, but still very sharp. I put her in touch with Marg and believe they kept in touch for as long as the teacher was alive. We are sorry to hear of Marg’s passing, but realize she could no longer enjoy life. Family was very important to her and we will certainly miss her phone calls. Because of distance and age, we were unable to attend the funeral but we will be sending a cheque to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in her name and will also be putting a memorial in the Senior Paper. Sincerely, Uncle Russ & Auntie Gerry

Condolence: I am so deeply sorry for your family's loss! Mrs. Petrinchuk wasn't even my teacher BUT she never missed any of my ringette games & was always a highlight of my visits back to Hudson Bay! We will miss her beautiful smile & infectious laugh! I still have the quilt she made us for our wedding put in a special place & will be using it whenever I need a little bit of home! She will be missed by everyone she's ever met!

Condolence: She was a loving, caring and very kind lady. I didn't know her that well, but the last few years, I saw her, in HER SPOT, inside right behind the goalie, at ALL ages of hockey games that took place in Porcupine Plain. I wasn't there until the last few years, but I understand that before EVERY game, regardless of the age, including the senior teams, she would present every player with a penny, to put in their skate, as a good luck charm for their game. She will be remembered for ever as a very special FAN. She was presented with a "#1 FAN" Porcupine Minor Hockey jacket, that she wore very proudly. Those are thoughts that will be remembered for many years to come of her, so she won't be forgotten. Sincerest sympathy to all her family.
