Doris Mae Winter (Morton) (Bruce)
Doris May Winter (Doris May Morton) was born on March 29th, 1927, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan to parents Melvin Carl Bruce and Mary Berle Bruce (nee Church). Doris grew up, and received her education in Etomami, and Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan.
Doris married Richard David Morton on February 4th, 1947. Together, they were blessed with four children: David, Colleen, Marilyn, and Marla. After Richards passing in 1994, Doris met Wilfred George Winter, and they married on May, 29, 2002.
Doris worked for the North East School Division, driving school bus for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed: fishing, hunting, berry picking, horse back riding, playing cards with many friends. Doris loved knitting socks and mittens for her family, and going to watch her grandchildren, and great grandchildren in their different activities and sporting events. Doris was a very generous person, and was always willing to help others.
Doris is predeceased by her parents Melvin and Mary Bruce; husband Richard Morton; second husband Fred Winter; and great grand-daughter Marcy Morton.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: David (Val) Morton, Colleen (Dennis) Windjack, Marilyn (Bill) Nicklefork, and Marla (Gerry) Desrochers; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; along with numerous relatives and friends.
