Obituary for Edward James Ward

Edward James Ward was born September 1st, 1951 in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan, to parents William (Bill) and Sarah (Sadie) Ward. Edward grew up on a farm outside of Chelan, Saskatchewan, and later moved into Chelan.
Edward attended High School at Porcupine Plain Composite High. He got his welding certificate in The Pas, Manitoba and his Steam Fitter / Pipe Fitter at N.A.I.T.
Edward met Katherine (Korytko) and they married in August 14th, 1970. The couple was blessed with two children Karen and Kevin.
Edward started welding with Lindstrand Construction in Swan Hills in 1970, later began his own company Kory Welding.
Edward was very involved with the community, and was active with the Porcupine Old Time Dance Club. In his spare time, Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, and Old Time Dancing. In his younger years, Edward enjoyed playing hockey and bowling.
Edward was predeceased by his Parents William and Sarah Ward; Brothers Bill Ward and Dave Ward; Brothers-in-law Bill Svennes and John Strong; Nephew Greg Strong; Father and Mother-in-law Adam and Juanita Korytko.
Left to cherish Edward’s memory is his Wife Kathy Ward; Son Kevin (Kim) Ward; Daughter Karen (Jeff) Ryks and their children Sarah and Justin; Siblings Lorna, Etta, Linda, Brian (Darlene), Sally (Bob); along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
