Cynthia Gayle Kuzek (Friskie) was born March 2nd,1957 in Porcupine Plain, SK to proud parents Elizabeth and Walter Friskie. Cindy grew up in Carragana, SK with her brother and four sisters where she started school and continued until moving to Porcupine Plain, SK in her grade 12 year. Cindy moved to Hudson Bay in 1976 and was Married to her husband Russel Kuzek on October 9th that year. Cindy and Russel had their first daughter Courtney on April 5th, 1983 and their second daughter Channing on April 27th, 1987.
Cindy initially started working in Erwood, SK for the Hudson Bay School Division in 1977, where she taught kindergarten. Eventually moving to Hudson Baym, SK where she worked as a teachers aid up until April 2015. Cindy was involved in countless community groups, and organizations which include: the Hospital Auxiliary, United Church, choir, volunteered in various school activities, School Council committee, and Ducks Unlimited. Cindy enjoyed card making, gardening, baking, canning, walking with Sharon, and above all - caring for her family.
Cindy is predeceased by mother Elizabeth Friskie; mother in-law Ann Kuzek; and brother in-law Alan Briggs.
Cindy is survived by Husband Russel; Daughters Courtney Baker (Darcy, Nixen), Channing Degelman (Scott, Miles, Halle); Father Walter Friskie; Siblings: Wayne Friskie (Val), Elaine Hill (Hugh), Sherolyn Pegg (Brian), Trevis McCabe (David), Charlene Kuzek (Gary); Father in-law Mike Kuzek; 6 brother in-laws; 4 sister in-laws and their spouses; and numerous nieces/nephews and friends.
