Obituary for Gwen Ann Dyck (Paproski)

Gwen (Paproski) Dyck was born in Lanigan, SK on October 6, 1964. She was the third child of Ardel, and Freda Paproski.
The Paproski family moved from Lanigan to Hudson Bay in 1971, when Gwen was six years old. She completed her schooling in Hudson Bay, graduating from high school in 1982. Gwen attended secretarial school at St. Peter’s College in Muenster from 1982 to 1983. After earning her secretarial diploma, she began working for the Department of Natural Resources (Ministry of Environment) in Hudson Bay in 1983. Gwen continued working there for the next 30 years as a Customer Service Representative.
Gwen, and Jeff Dyck were married in Hudson Bay on April 4, 1991. They were blessed with two children, Joel, who was born on March 22, 1993, and Jana, who was born on December 27, 1996.
Gwen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She always encouraged her family to do well in all their interests, particularly education. She supported her children in school, and often attended their sports events. Gwen had many gifts, some of which were interior decorating, organizing, and cooking. Gwen was a hard, and caring worker. She was a dedicated employee at the Ministry of Environment. She is remembered for her outgoing personality, and warm, friendly smile. She loved the outdoors, spending many hours in her yard, garden, and going for walks. Enjoyment for her was being with her family, going fishing, hunting, quadding, watching her children play sports, and being around animals. Her sense of humor gave smiles, and laughter to all.
Gwen will be lovingly remembered by: her husband, Jeff, of 24 years; their two children, Joel, and Jana; parents Ardel, and Freda Paproski; siblings, Perry (Cathy) Paproski, and children Cole, Erica (Chris) Zaremba, and Ty; Bruce (Fr. Paul Paproski, OSB); Glenda (Gordie) Smud, and children Garrett, and Ginelle; along with numerous family, and friends. Gwen was predeceased by her grandparents Cyril, and Eileen Paproski, and Martin, and Elizabeth Novecosky.
