Obituary for Marcel Auguste LeBlue

Marcel Auguste LeBlue was born on June 22, 1955 in Hudson Bay, SK to Edmund & Sylvia LeBlue. Marcel was the oldest of five children that included a sister and three brothers. Marcel grew up and was educated in Hudson Bay throughout his childhood.
Marcel met Marilyn Reid in the summer of 1969 when they were both 13 years old; it was love at first sight as they married years later in Reno, Nevada on September 17, 1976. Marcel had been working with the CN Rail during this time in their lives. This is where Marcel developed his love of trains; unfortunately a back injury ended Marcel's CN career.
In 1982, Marcel was hired on with Saskatchewan Enviroment Resources Management where he worked firstly as an Initial Attack Fire Fighter and was later promoted to Base Supervisor. In this career he developed a love of helicopters and flying when working on various forest fires, which took him all over Canada and the U.S.; he loved his job and admired the crew he worked with for 32 years.
Marcel and Marilyn were blessed with two children in their marriage, a boy; Dwight in 1983 and finally a girl; Renee in 1985. Marcel cherished his family and was a wonderful husband and doting father. Family that showed up at the door always recieved a hug and a kiss and yet another hug and kiss when they were going out the door.
He was very passionate about his classic rock music especially his favourites which included the Beatles, John Fogerty, Trooper and Burton Cummings. One thing that can be said about Marcel was that he loved to play his music loud. He also loved his football and hockey, his two teams that he lived and breathed for was the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Canadiens. One of Marcel's main projects was home renovations, doing the majority of the work himself, he spent years bettering the home for his family.
Marcel spent numerous winters and countless hours as a trainer/manager for the Hudson Bay Senior Hunters. This part of his life he loved. Each player on the team was special to him. It was during these years in which Marcel made many fond memories. Any stories the hockey players have of Marcel, you can hear the admiration and respect they had for him.
Marcel became ill in the year of 2013, and although he was sick he kept his spirits up with every trip to the city and visit to the hospital that was made throughout the summer. He smiled and laughed easy knowing the fight that was before him. Marcel fought a tough but brave battle with those he loved and cherished by his side before he quietly slipped away on Friday, November 28th. He will be loved and missed by his entire family.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Marcel was predeceased by his father Edmund LeBlue. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Marilyn, son Dwight (Stephanie) LeBlue and grandchildren Lexi and Sam; daughter Renee (Lance) Leason; mother Sylvia LeBlue; sister Karen (Blaine) Pottle; brother Dale (Leslie) LeBlue; brother Dennis LeBlue, brother Darryl (Janine) LeBlue and many nieces and nephews.
