Obituary for John Stadnek

John was born on November 1, 1922 to Nicholas and Anna (Wawruck) Stadnek at Wynyard, SK. He was the 7th in a family of 11 children. He and his family lived in Quill Lake, SK, Leslie, SK, and finally settled on a farm north of Weekes, SK.
In 1950 John married Ardith Bergh. To that union were born two sons, Ronald on December 8, 1950 and Robert on December 30, 1951. They lived in several places in the Weekes, SK area, Saskatoon, SK, White Fox, SK, Henribourg, SK and Shipman, SK. In 1966 they purchased the farm from Ardith’s parents and made what they hoped would be their final move to Greenwater Creek Farm near Chelan, SK. Ardith passed away there in April of 2007, and in December of 2013 John moved to the Red Deer Nursing Home in Porcupine Plain, SK.
During his lifetime John worked at many jobs. He was a lumberjack, bulk oil agent, trapper, farmer, construction worker, and a grain buyer for the Sask Wheat Pool.
John was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Anne; his wife Ardith; his grandsons Bradley Stadnek and Jarrett Stadnek; his siblings Joseph (Wilma) Stadnek, Francis (Bill) Gimas, Rose (Archie) Stigen, Walter Stadnek, Mary (Roland) Fraser, Lillian (Bruce) Meikle, Jeanette Yule, Betty Webb, Bernice Stadnek, and Henry Stadnek; his mother and father-in-law Ingvald and Mina Bergh; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law Maynard (Bertha) Bergh, Paul (Myrtle) Bergh, and Margaret (Bill) Brewster.
