Obituary for Larry William Kozak

Larry was born on April 9th, 1966 at Tisdale, Saskatchewan to parents Nick and Bernice Kozak. Larry was a farmer and logger at a very early age, he enjoyed riding on any piece of equipment with Nick and occasionally falling asleep. Larry and Susie spent many of their early years living in logging camps.
Larry attended grades one to eight in Prairie River, then took grade nine in Hudson Bay. School wasn’t Larry’s thing, he was allowed to quit and start farming where his first job was to seed. Nick made him promise that if he made any misses he had to seed potatoes in those spots; Larry
never had to seed one potato.
Larry started in the bush that winter running Nick’s Drott buncher. He had no problems running any piece of equipment whether logging or farming. He logged in the Hudson Bay area until 1985, then moved to Alberta where he logged for another 13 years. In the summertime he farmed, always taking care of his crops and doing the best he could.
Larry was a listener, he could be involved in a conversation with people, but always took the time to hear the other persons opinion. Larry was a man of few words, but had a great knowledge of any topic of any kind.
He has been blessed to enjoy the company of his great friend Uncle Bill. Whether they were going on trips to auction sales or looking at equipment together. Each trip would include a stop for KFC and a night cap at some off the beaten path bar. Just this winter he worked in the bush helping Uncle Bill north of Hudson Bay.
In the past 10 years Larry struggled with health problems which took its toll on him, yet he still managed to keep his friendly demeanor and endless smile.
Larry was predeceased by his Father Nick in 1993.
Larry is survived by his Mother Bernice; Sister Susie (Terry) Pegg; Nephews Kurtis (Denye) and Kyle; Brother Gary, along with numerous friends.

“You will be missed by all who knew you!”
